Born
in Kentucky, Norma Jean Robbins has lived in Montgomery since childhood.
Although primarily a "self-taught" artist with a love of art of
all ages, styles and subject matter, she has studied with several
local artists and attended workshops by both local and national
artists. Her work has been displayed in numerous juried exhibitions,
including shows with the Montgomery Art Guild, the Selma Art Guild,
the Tennessee Women's Museum in Huntsville, SAC's Gallery, and the
Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. She
has placed in some competitions and received purchase awards as
well. She has, also, been the recipient of the Montgomery
Art Guild's Foy Gilmore Scholarship Award. Her work in included
in both corporate and private collections. She has served
as Vice President of the Montgomery Art Guild and President of
the Society of Arts and Crafts of Montgomery.
