Artist’s Statement

"I cannot--I don't know why--I just cannot place limitations on medium, style, and theme. Art is still showing me so much about how I see life and my openness to its complexities. Every day, every body, every subject is a wonder to me.”

Catherine is an award-winning, gifted artist who paints in multiple mediums, sculpts, and does fine crafts with incredible skill and enthusiasm. Her resistance to limit mediums or styles gives collectors a fresh surprise every time they look at her art.

An Alabama native, her art education includes Auburn University in Montgomery, Huntingdon College, British Studies Program, Scottsdale AZ Artists' School, and a yearly selection of several well-known painting workshops. She has taught sculpture at Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope, Alabama. Catherine paints weekly as a member of the Capital City Artists.
