Drucilla Barner started sewing when her daughter was born in 1956.
Her mother sewed for her and her grandmother sewed for her mother,
so it just came naturally. She finished high school, went one year
to business college, had her first child and said, "I'm retiring
from work!" Little did she know that sewing is a full-time
job and harder than working away from home.
She does appliqués and French Hand Sewing, mostly for children's
clothes.
She is represented by SAC's Gallery, and her work may be seen there.
